The Final Resting Place of Charlotte Harbor's Founding Families

Established in 1879, Charlotte Harbor Cemetery is the oldest known marked cemetery in Charlotte County. It is the final resting place of many local pioneers who braved subtropical wilderness and the hardships of Civil War reconstruction to build a settlement on the Charlotte Harbor waterfront.

Intrepid individuals and prominent, noteworthy families and leaders of the early community are all represented here — their lives now memorialized by weathered tombstones standing as quiet witnesses to the courage and faith that built this region.

Trinity Global Church is still serving and providing local families with a final resting place — continuing a sacred ministry of care and community that has endured for nearly 150 years.
