We believe that giving should be proportional to your income, with a goal of tithing — that is, returning ten percent of what God has provided. However, we understand the reality that many people face financial limitations, and some are on fixed incomes or struggle to make ends meet.
At Trinity, our encouragement is simple: continually strive to grow. A step forward could be something as small as skipping that extra soda or dessert once a week and placing that amount in the offering. What matters is the direction — always moving toward greater generosity.
Faithful giving involves "first fruits" giving — meaning a budgeted, intentional amount set aside from the top, rather than giving only what is left over. It is a discipline, a commitment, and ultimately an act of trust in God's provision.
What you give is between you and God. And as the old saying holds true: You will never out-give God.
"Make an offering of ten percent, a tithe, of all the produce which grows in your fields year after year. Bring this into the Presence of God, your God, at the place he designates for worship."Deuteronomy 14:22–23
